The local construction industry experienced a shock just a few months ago. Perfect Landscaping’s Michael Wirth unexpectedly passed away leaving behind a young family and a very busy company. Shortly after, the community began planning a golf tournament to help Michael’s family and to remember his contribution to the landscaping community. The first annual Michael Wirth Memorial Golf Tournament was held on Wednesday, June 10 and over 150 industry contacts came out to participate.
Perfect Landscaping is a customer of ours and we knew Michael very well. When organizers of this fundraiser asked us to sponsor the Hole in One event, we were honoured.
Our VP of Sales, Bob Cherewayko greeted each golfer as they prepared to tee up for a chance to win $20,000. Every golfer who landed on the green was awarded a Project Equipment hat. We had a Hustler Zero-Turn Mower and a Mustang Skid Steer on display to showcase the premium product lines we carry and they were eye candy to people who use these machines daily.
We would like to thank Perfect Landscaping and the tournament organizers for the opportunity to be involved in this prestigious event, and would like to congratulate the winning teams. Unfortunately, nobody got a hole in one, but we did hand out a lot of hats, and they got to see some of the best equipment on the market.
